Jerzy Zajączkowski is a painter and sculptor from Wrocław. He found his individual path of creativity while studying and working in Munich. The artist has chosen abstract painting based on geometric forms. Color, point, rhythm, geometry and color dynamism seem to best describe the nature of Jerzy Zajączkowski’s work. His paintings are a system of densely arranged points and a play of intermingling colors. The background for his paintings is not only canvas. The artist also paints on constructions made of metal plates, as well as plexiglass, MDF or unnecessary furniture. The use of metal is an expression of his love for geometry. It also allows him to create three-dimensional images, which together with the emotional play of colors give his works character and expression.

Recognizing the potential of metal and used materials, uniqueness, uncompromising approach to creation and constant search for new forms are values that connect REC.ON and Jerzy Zajączkowski. Raw, industrial, and offering unlimited possibilities, used car parts are the perfect „base” for Zajączkowski’s expressive paintings.
The idea of combining abstract art with ecological design based on upcycling – giving unused objects a new function – was hard to ignore.

The result was a series of REC.ON products painted by Zajączkowski.
As part of the cooperation three lamp designs have been put under the painter’s brush. Each of them is unique, as each object that leaves the REC.ON studio is composed of different (though sometimes similar) elements. It is created by hand, just as the artist who invited to cooperation, painted them by hand.

Additional elements of the product: bulb E 27 type Edison, black braided cable, manual switch.

Manufacturing operations: grinding, polishing, welding, powder coating, cutting.

Our models are created from recycled materials. Original shapes and low-series, hand-made production make each of them unique and unrepeatable. Ecological design and high quality of workmanship distinguish our products in the market. Unlike mass production, a product created in a handmade process will never look the same from one copy to the next. By purchasing REC.ON products you support socially responsible design. On request we can make a similar product while maintaining its unique character.

Electrical components used in our installations have all legally required approvals (e.g. CE, declaration of conformity, quality certificates).
